The Government will introduce primary school lessons on global warming under a new shake-up of the national curriculum.

The Government reforms are aimed at making young people better prepared for careers and for life. Included in these subjects are lessons that should improve climate and sustainability education.

However, there has been some criticism that these reforms, of which climate awareness is a small part, will detract from core abilities.
