Jeff Bezos’s $10bn Earth Fund has exited the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Although no reason has been given, it comes as many large US technology companies have ditched social and environmental policies after the election of Donald Trump.

Meanwhile some have wondered at how benign the influence of the Fund has been on the independence of SBTi itself, so the move may not be wholly unwelcome from the other side.
