Protesters gatecrash COP30

The COP30 climate talks in Belém, Brazil have been stormed by protesters who appeared to be an indigenous group and supporters demanding access.

Clashing with security guards the protesters demanded access to the event and want to raise awareness of the mining and exploration of native lands, with some flags saying "our land is not for sale".

The location of the summit has been controversial from the start, being sited in Belem, on the outskirts of the Amazon, and requiring extensive development to host the event.
